Does it have to be HCL? Or can other acids be used? I have some DeLimer stuff that has Phosphoric acid in it. Would that work? Or is that way to strong?
It might work, but copper phosphate isn't soluble so I wouldn't bet on it.

If its not soluble wouldn't it just precipitate on the bottom?

I'd just go to the hardware store and get some muriatic acid. That stuff is used to clean concrete and pools and is 38% HCL. They have it in every hardware store I've looked in.
