I figured that since there is a cool pictures thread, why not have a thread for videos? I often have some cool videos, which are not worthy of an entire project thread, so here is a thread for them cheesey.

Idea of course borrowed from PartScavenger. The rules are the same as the thread for the cool pictures. It does not have to be scientific, but it should at least be cool, beautiful, or hell, even funny.

Here is a video of a tiny 'plasma tweeter' i lashed up quite a long time ago. The purple aurora-esque hazy discharge was incredible in reality. You can see how it moved around on the surface of the white bulb's interior, just like the aurora borealis.

I did this a few years back:

And this one is one of our snow days. I am the one with a grey-black coat and brown boots but you don't see me much as I did most the filming.

Resonant MOT arcs with 8 transformers
Draws about 100A at 240V, and produces incredibly hot arcs!

Steam explosion generated in microwave oven
Don't try this at home kids! Be sure to see the high speed video about 3/4 the way through.

DRSSTC at 120BPS recorded on high speed camera at 120FPS
Arcs about 1m long. Note the frantic action near the left side where the arcs are striking.

Move down here to Texas... Then, you can have my pig, i wanna see what you would do with it XD.

No offense, but the only thing i could think throughout the movie was "shut up and draw arcs already". Hehe, sure kept me at the edge of my seat, only thing i would have changed is a bigger screen and some popcorn cheesey
