Got a 2235 Tektronix Ocilloscope off Ebay. Wondering if anybody that has repair background and would like to know an estimate of how much to fix, or how to fix the trace drawing problem it has. Traces were at .1sec/dev for larger pics, more detailed pics were at .5sec/div. No signal in just ground channel.

If is a bright as photo indicates ,stop! Does the brightness and focus work properly? You can easily ruin phosphors. Give details of onset history, and if you can reduce trace to a focussed line at faster sweep rates with no vertical deflection. Is there a Z axis input/jumper/switch on the back?

Yea there is a z-input on the back. If i turn the timebase sweep all the way up and put the volt/div really high like 5v I get descent looking lines, and if i put the volt/div really low I get some really nasty distortion on the vertical axis. If i slow slow the sweep down it's apparent the there is major distortion on the x and y axis.
