I am finding a book that thoroughly talks about the principles of Tesla Coils, including SGTC, SSTC, VTTC, DRSSTC, etc.
Well, it is quite difficult to find a book that talks about Tesla Coil, so I would also like E-books or websites.

I find that Richie's website is quite good, but I need more about TC's basic theories and details of secondary coil, ZVS, RF ground, etc.

Any good idea?

I am deciding to buy The ULTIMATE Tesla Coil Design and Construction Guide, is it a good book?

I think you'd be hard pressed to find a bound book covering what you need, but you got off to a great start with Richie's site. Here's a few links that won't overwhelm you:

Dan has a DRSSTC book:
http://www.easternvoltageresearch.com/

Steve C has conceived numerous coils of varying topology:
http://scopeboy.com/tesla/index.html

Steve W did both solid-state and vacuum tube work:
http://stevehv.4hv.org/SSTCindex.htm

Practical design and SSTC theory on Jan's site:
http://users.tkk.fi/jwagner/tesla/

And see James' thorough GDT guides:
http://thedatastream.4hv.org/gdt_index.htm

Probably won't find everything you want all in one place, but scour these sites and you're guaranteed to have a bigger picture!

I have this book, and it is good for SGTC's, and understanding some of the formulae for parallel and series resonance, which could be helpful with OLTC's, sgtc's, and drsstc's. This book is not fun with pictures, it is more like a bunch of formulae and sims and the like... It is a big book, if you want to know the ins and outs of the actual resonance of the circuit, this is a good book.

I think its a good book too, HOWEVER, I am verifying some of his numbers! I am not of the impression that he has built a real system with the numbers he is using because some of it raises real questions in my mind when I compare my results with his numbers.

Aside from that he gives you links to his excel spreadsheets, which I have to take a deeper look at, for each chapter of his book. So his data is all there out in the open on his website and is worth a go-over if you're really into this.

Frankly,I am quite disappointed by that book.
It has some good design guidelines ,but you will find bad errors and claims in it too.

Sounds like mister Matt needs to make his own book!

I would buy it, that is for damn sure wink

HAHAHAHAH! Well.. I am working on verifying all this nitty-gritty bs for you guys. I wish it wouldn't take so goddam long, but there are certian things I want to be sure about, like what this thread is about. There are a lot of small details that are dealt with well in the book, but there are some really questionable things too, like what was mentioned, the author's delivered output and power input.

I need to make an effort and a writeup on open/short circuit analysis of transformers so you can find out what you have and then be able to figure out the cap size, that is.. if I can remember how I did it.

You have the PDF there for free, I'd certianly recommend going over it.

Someday I'll have a start to finish SGTC writeup... Someday.
