Hi all.
Am looking into doing my bit for the unfortunate people in Haiti, and came up with the idea of a charity auction.
basically you are bidding on a box of electronics goodies including various paid for Sparkfun bits as well as some stuff from my personal collection.
Including bags of new capacitors, ICs, LCD panels (some working, some not), accelerometers, LEDs, stepper drivers, model aircraft bits, random bits, small SMPSs, mobile phone bits/PCBs and RF 2.4GHz components etc. Also have some VFD 8 digit IN30 displays and a few alphanumerics as well as that flat CRT. *And* some new LiFePO4 CR123 sized cells.
All you do is send me a sensible amount via Paypal for postage and also donate an amount at the same time to Aid Reaching Children etc. normally postage to the UK is around £7 or so and to the US is about $15-$20 for a parcel weighing a couple of kilos.
Sound like a good idea?
i have several boxes worth of stuff here and within reason will try and find parts "to order" if you need something specific.
might also be an idea to let me know what you sent on this thread so we can have a running total.
