guys,
I finally have DR with my sstc... dont mind my weak link (string of mylar caps as mmc for primary LC).. but 1 cap just "died" after a few runs with my previous setup... now I get a "snaking" arc.. unlike an SSTC.. supply cap is 300uF only...
now im back to using an interruptor for DR use (300uS max duty cycle)...
-my DR uses CT secondary feedback.. now if I opt to use primary feedback, is it mandatory that I add current limiting (or OCD)?
-is there a BIG difference in arc length between secondary and PRIMARY feedback?
-has this been done? a rolled film/foil cap for the primary LC cap?
-does DR work well with 2 or more smaller torroid toploads? or is better off with using just a BIG torriod topload?
