Hi guys, This time I have something quite interesting. It is my Red traffic cone coil again which most of you are already familiar. This time I set the interrupter to reach very funny sounds which are all based on higher harmonics of the 50Hz coming from the wall plug-in.
The first video is low power run (24V AC) and it is already pretty loud. The second video is 40V and it is becoming pretty pretty loud (but still tolerable). The third video is running at full power (220v) and unfortunately it is so loud that I can afford to run it only few seconds. Of course the microphone of my cheap compact camera cannot cover the bandwidth so it seems like nothing on the video and the color of the sound is destroyed. However I think it is interesting phenomenon maybe already known but maybe not so plaese check it out…
BTW: the sound is a bit shifted - it is problem of my shitty camera
Cheers Mates

Nice! This might be a bit off topic but hey! All that first video needs is some heavy guitar and some very loud drums! BAM! Instant classic!! Thats pretty cool, I always liked that coil! Good work Mates!!!

Thanks... One more video - full power, long run of a very slow sine wave It's a pity that the real sound is heavily distorted by the microphone. The sound reality is quite impressive. My friend (can be heard on the video) after this short exhibition said he almost swallowed his tongue when the first spark appeared
