Interesting, I will test the circuit with a PNP transistor when I get my soldering iron working. Tip burned : (
Just looked at the timing light, and fell off my chair.. It is cheap. I'll have to transfer some money to my paypal account and buy that/similar. So that just snaps over the ignition wire and 12v battery, and then blinks a light every time there is a ignition pulse? Just wondering, can a photodiode & timing light handle so much rpm? My engine spins at 12 000 - 13 000 rpm max depending on the cylinder and exhaust I am using.
