I've found some BIG 7 segment displays at the scrap yard and decided to build a clock with them.
Sooo ... this came up.
Maybe the most interesting feature is that it has a light sensor - it adjusts the brightness of the segments according to the light in the room. It is pretty neat because in dark room it is not anoying and in bright light it is aesily readable.
The reason for soo many ICs is that the processor don't have enough ports and the purpose of the projet was to use what ever I have on hend

Heh looks nice :P I have bought 4X 1" segments, same colors, and recently found 6 more 1" segments. Nice to see you did a circuitboard, My attempt at a counter/clock was using ATMEGAt644P :D Biggest segments I found online where 5" :O
