This may or may not help depending on the resistance you need your coil to be, and the whole rest of the monsters math. Use a 1/4 x 1/8 rectangular copper bar for your coil. Try to calculate a coil with 2 to 3 complete turns of the 1/4 x 1/8 material. If you can do that (without water cooling the coil itself, and using a water cooled copper block for the igbt heatsink) you'll be in business. A machine that works with this ratio is capable of melting pyrex, turning steel white hot in 3 seconds, and alot of things that are too cool for school! Especially with the igbt's you have. Give me some time, ill try to talk with some work associates and maby i can get a schematic for this madness!

Ok if that schematic comes out i'll sure try it, but now its an exam period for me and i've stopped working on my induction heater.
After the christmas holiday's i will try to improve my induction heater driver and i'll try to get some 600V 100A IGBT's from the old frequency regulators in school.

I'm interested in the progression of the project, and probably would assemble the schematic/design as well. :) Have access to 50A@240V, and willing to use it all. I want to melt aluminum/other metals for casting, etc.
Able to get CM series IGBTs and what not if needed.
