sstc output does wierd....

i have build a sstc from this schematic from this site http://stevehv.4hv.org/SSTC5.htm

the wierd thing is that the output first goes full power and then goes to the smallest possible arc breakout.(in a period of 2~3 seconds)

and before that, i had it working but the output was pulsing??? about every second..

i don't know but i think i am doing something ronge,
where should i look?
