If you could lay your hands on some of these, what would you do with them?

If they are fast enough, a giant DR-SSTC comes to mind...but seeing as how you asked this question on a HV forum in the Tesla Coil section were you really expecting any other answer? tongue

Yes, i suspected that i would get that answer cheesey
And that is what i would like to do if i get my hands on them. (i've seen them at work...)
I think they are fast enough for about 200kHz, but correct me if i'm wrong.

I´m a little bit too unexperienced to start such a project, i'll just have to finish my first smaller coil...

those bricks could be used for a drsstc and so can cm300, 600 provided your tesla provided has a low f res say 60k. I bought some like thease to make a bridge. The switching caristic sais that the switching time is about 2us so there are 3 transitions in a full cycle so 1/6us= 166khz for a full bridge. if they are afordable or free 2 would make a full bridge.
