I wonder if anyone knows of any good technical amateur radio-type forums on the web? QRZ.com has limited technical content, and many people there have a very negative, confrontational and rigid attitudes. There's a wee bit of technical content on eham.net, and of course theres mods.dk, a great resource for rig modifications. I'm wondering if there's anything similar to 4hv.org that covers radio, that has 4hv's decent signal-to-noise ratio?
