I've got some "excess" 2" diameter high-density polyethylene rod stock available in three colors: black, dark blue, and lime green.
This material has excellent high-voltage insulating properties, and machines very nicely. It's perfect for electrical applications like feed-through or stand-off insulators, coil forms, transformer bobbins, etc., or mechanical parts like spacers, low-friction bushings and bearings, thrust washers, etc. It is usable up to about 248 deg F, with a melting point of ~266F.
Price is $6/foot, plus shipping. The least expensive packaging is probably to just wrap the section of rod in two layers of corrugated cardboard, add a layer of wide cellophane tape, and slap a label on.
