Hey guys, I have finally tested my Tesla Coil with 35V into the brisge and I am getting really good results! I am getting approximately 2" sparks into the air. The controller is the basic HEF4046 PLL (VCO only) with a UCC27425 gate driver chip and a NE555 interuppter similar to Steve Ward's design. (3 chips in all for this controller) In the video, the coil is consuming about 35W. (35V at 1A). The IGBTS warm up as expected due to lower efficency, but they never overheated during testing.
Unfortunately, I have no idea how to upload a *.mp4 video.

There is a freeware program out there called Super that will convert an .mp4 into .avi if that is what you need. Love the toroid!! Look forward to the vid.

Here is the video! (*.avi)
The torroid is made using 18 gauge solid copper wire wound like a "spring", and I took both ends of the spring and put them together. I had no access to those high quality torroids, so I had to improvise.
