Hello Everyone......
I always enjoy it when real neat HV items are miss-identified and listed on ebay for reasonable prices, I wanted to share this one not so much because of the "deal", but because of the unique and interesting design. If you type in "High Voltage Divider" on ebay you will find it. It realy is a HFHV power supply for a mammography X-ray machine, it should be capable of 40-50KVDC, at up to 50ma intermittent. I am curious if it can be re-wired by removing the recifiers and replacing them with jumpers, or low value resistors to re-series the secondary sections, to make it a HVHF power supply to drive a CW multiplier? The primary is about 9 turns of heavy rectangular wire, but i have no idea on how many turns are on the secondary. If it is designed along most X-ray machine parameters the inverter voltage to the input would be either 170v, or 340v at the maximum output of about 40-50kv.
Not enough power for me, but maybe this can make someone happy, it is brand new and listed at about 100 USD. I bought one as a power supply for X-ray or gas laser use for $75 from this seller, here is whats inside, enjoy folks :)
