You can let them sit on top of eachother without further adjø, but beware of heating!
Steve Ward did this in one of his earlier drsstc drivers, "Here is the new control board I etched for this coil. Notice how I stacked the gate drivers. This is ok in a pulsed application like this, where driver heating is not considerable. You must not do this in a CW system!"

Thay have driver ics in the ucc family that have heat syncs in a to-220 package for better power disapation. Also if your switching a GDT alot of capacitance like 470uf to 1K next to the power pins help
