hello all,
im looking at adding another effect to the DRSSTC by controlling the voltage using a module. i presume this has been done, how does this work exactly?

You don't need to do this.
Just vary the pulsewidth. This will give you roughly the same effect as if you varied the voltage and its much simpler.

I've done it with a circuit similar to a lamp dimmer on the incoming mains. However, what Dr. Gigavolt said.
