Hi all.
*THIS* is why you don't override safety cutouts on equipment. Owner said "it went bang and smoked a lot"....
Observe.
Any ideas? these parts are 4.7uF 400V wound capacitors.
the blown resistor is one of four, the other three seem OK and so do the FETs on this board.

replace the frazzled capacitors, the cement resistor and the burnt piece of wire, and start up under reduced power if you have a Variac.
