Hi guys,
I decided to try a simple PW audio modulation of my odd single switch SSTC Link2 On the video below it runs only 30% of max power, but it is very loud anyway. Of course the distortion is huge, but it is a cool fun anyway… I’ll try the full power soon (I had stop because of my wife mad ); hopefully my transistors and transils will survive.

Ok, probably not so exiting...
Anyway, I increased the power a bit and this time a hooked a microphone to the coil...It sounds like some crazy vocoder and it is really loud… For the full power I’ll have to wait to be home alone, than I will sing for you wink

you need to use filtered supply if you want to get good sound...

The design of my coil is not DC compatible... And honestly, it is not my point to get a CW based plasma sonic like hi-fi coil with tiny sparks...I want the right opposite - something really loud with big sparks and brutally distorted wink

BTW: For a good sound I have a pair of 200W 2-way Celestion speakers and NAD amplifier...
