can i use .47 caps instead of the .68 caps on steve's mini design?

as the title says.
could i use a .47cap instead of the .68 on steve's design?
if not: why not?

and if yes: why?

got to ask cause it's directly on the wall plug,
and i don't wanna blow stuff up.
(ofcourse it's rectified) shades

Here's a bit of advice. If you ask a question such as this, at least post the schematic or a link to the schematic so people reading your post can reference it.

Nobody wants to *have* to look for the schematic themselves to answer *your* question.

And assuming you are referring to Steve's mini-SSTC, then the 0.47uF is fine.

They form a return point for the half-bridge by voltage division. The voltage between the caps is near V/2, and the mosfets switch the primary between V and ground, which causes current to flow in opposite directions through the primary. The capacitance of the capacitors affects the impedance of the bridge, or how much current it will pass.
