I inherited a drsstc controler with this scematic and two half bridge pcb's. I built it up using a full bridge. I am using 4 CDE caps at .5uf @ 6kv and about 8 turns of 3/16 refrigerator tubing on a 4 in form.
the problem is that the unit is switcing at every 90 degreas insted of 180 deg. I don't have any secondary in it at the time, does this seem to be a problem and has any body seen this.

thanks for the reply Steve, I have a switch that reverses feedback phase for trubleshooting. I am begining to think that it might be my feedback transformer.
I will be trying a CST206-1A insted. I have made some changes in this photo since this poasting but you get a genral idia of the size of the unit. at the time of this poasting I was using your ocd circuit with a full bridge driven by your cat 5 transformer copmosed of the 5000 material. that part works good. I also got some cores of 7070 material and wondered have you tried it
in the next week I will try to make some better poastings

Well, one thing is your primary using copper tubing needs spacing between each turn or at least have the copper insulated. Thats not a good thing what you have now.
And your Pearson current monitor has a built in 50 ohms termination.

thanks Dr. GigaVolt the person is to monitor activity and current. I have the tek 3034 in a 50 ohm termination. I was running on average of 40Ap. you can't see from the vertical picture but there is about 1/16 in between windings. Do you think that it may need a secondary as a load to stablize the circuit ? do you think that a CST206-1A with a 110A rating would be a better choice?
