Down here in Beaumont Texas, we have had a bit of damage due to tornadoes. I love bad weather!

So far, we had a single tornado hit a local mall, Wal-Mart, and a few other stores. No deaths, and only ten reported injuries. It caved part of Kohls roof in, part of Wal-Mart's roof in, there are numerous cars on top of one another, and the facade of Parkdale mall has been ripped of, partly. There are many stores in the vicinity of the tornado that have minor damage, and a few more with major damage.

There are already people fixing the doors of the mall, and people taking the money away to prevent looters. It is not a very nice place to have your doors knocked down over here, there is crime everywhere.

My brother is about 500-1,000 feet from where it had hit (he arrived a few minutes after, what luck!) so he gets to see it all.

There is still a tornado watch, i think there have been a few more sitings of tornados forming, but i am not really getting the full story, i was out while all of this happened, about an hour ago.

I am looking forward to the thunderstorm we are about to have, but i kind of wish i was down there. Just kinda bored, so i figured i would write about it :P.

Don't risk your life to get a good look at extreme weather! smile
Though I guess watching a tornado from 1000 feet away is statistically safer than a rocket trip to orbit.
Maybe quieter too!

I'm sure the people who have witnessed them close-up by their homes or had their homes damaged by a tornado didn't (don't) think they are fun.

I did not want to watch the tornado :P. I just wanted to get a closer look at the damages, after all they are stores we visit often.
