Not sure what the issue is. All you need is a 230V input / 24V output transformer. There are hundreds of these at Farnell as Steve McConner already stated.

No. There are two primary windings. For 220V operation, you simply wire them in series. For 110V operation, you wire them in parallel. Almost every transformer with a dual primary configuration can be wired in this fashion.
Also, i listed the 75VA version because the 50VA version wasn't in stock. But you could probably get by with the smaller and less expensive 25VA version as well.

You could also try RS components or Maplins here in the UK, On my last DRSSTC i got my transformer from RS but mine was rated for 18-0-18 volt output as it was for Steve Wards Driver circuit. But as Dan said, lots of transformer primaries are designed for either 120 volt input or 240 volt input, depending if you connect the primary in series or parallel.
If you are having problems of not knowing about tranformers and selecting an alternative equivalent at this stage of your project, you will need to get better aquainted with Dans book and how his circuit functions first.
