I've done a few drip photos with my G5. Haven't played around with it recently though.

I think that's enough attachments for one post...

As you can see, it was a bad idea to use white cardboard for a background.
hmm, this stuff looks nice, have any better Id for a miniature studio?
would black do well? (painted wood)

I'll post a copy pretty soon. How does HSP work out for digital cameras? Has anyone built a "matrix" video camera? I know how to do it, I'd just like to see how it turned out if anyone did.

Black should be fine, as long as you don't use glossy paint. Or if your surface is rough, then that should help a bit too.

Avalance, that last picture of yours with the frozen tap looks awesome! Using a normal camera flash the max shutter speed is about 1/250th, is that sufficient for these pictures? Or what did you use for lighting?

Peter, dont get excited about your CDs, thats sooo inefficient. I've got a 8" laser flashlamp in my basement that might do the trick if it was mated with your cap and a good, i.e. large, reflector.

Thanks, that tap photo is just shot at 1/250th with the camera's flash. Ideally it could do with being a bit faster, especially with the drip photos, but you can get away with it.

Here's a photo by Harold Edgerton(high speed photographer extraordinaire) that really got me interested when I was younger. Since then I've always wanted to try it. Oh, yeah. The schematic...

Sorry for taking so long.

Sorry for the large pic. I CANNOT get it to shrink. Nor can I figure out how to delete my two previous posts. How embarassing!

as normal users we can no longer delete posts...

To resize the image, you need to add a little code inside the [ img ] brackets...
after the first [ img but before the first ], you add :width=400&height=xxx where the xxx is how tall you ant it to be.

So for your pic you would want to use:
(remove the space before the link and img tag)
apple:
[ link=http://4hv.org/e107_files/public/ 1140054071_79_FT737_applebullet_.jpg]
[ img:width=200&height=145]../../e107_files/public/ 1140054071_79_FT737_applebullet_.jpg[/img][/link]

schematic:
[ link=../../e107_files/public/ 1140054593_79_FT737_flashcontroller.gif]
[ img:width=400&height=248]../../e107_files/public/ 1140054593_79_FT737_flashcontroller.gif[/img][/ link]

Thanks man, you're a genius! The realitive paths wouldn't work for some reason, so I had to replace them. Now all's well. Thanks.

Oh, and thanks to whomever cleaned up my triple post... I appreciate it.
