Hey All
I thought we could all share a bit about our summerholidays and where we are going, chances are we can meet some 4hv members on our way :)
My friend and I are taking our Suzuki GS500E motorcycles and riding down through Europe from Denmark, our plan is nothing less or more than go to Amsterdam for some days and then head south to visit Dalus.

That sounds awesome, MadsKaizer!
Not sure if we will do anything, but i am hoping we will take the travel trailer down to Crystal beach (right before Galveston island pretty much) to Crystal Canal. It has been pretty messed up from the hurricane Ike. It is just a small place to bring your RV's, and it is right on a ship channel which drains out to the Gulf of Mexico. Very simple and cheap, but will will fish all day long, for probably 5-7 days . Maybe go up to Galveston for a day to get something to eat and maybe go to Schlitterbahn water park.
And this time, i can actually fish worth a crap :P.

I recently went to New York City for a night, then Atlantic City for a night (which my parents regret), and then Washington D.C. for three nights and visited family along the way who were in NYC and DC
it is funny how many people you know take similar trips, last summer I took a road trip to Los Angeles, making several stops on the way, only to find out that my Formaster and a few other priests at my school took nearly the exact same trip at pretty much the same time

Haven't done much yet due to a lost of a vehicle, but we still plan on Cedar Point and some other places still this summer. We go in August or so when the longest you have to weight for a ride is 10 minutes :)

True. My grandparents once unexpectedly ran into their neighbour on a mountain in Gran Canaria, it really is a small world.
I will mostly be staying home on the farm this summer. I cant wait to just throw away my watch and cell phone, string up the hammock and enjoy the sweet gap between 2 full years of hard work.

Nothing exciting this year. I will be moving from Maine to northwestern PA in just about a month, so hopefully I will have a chance to meet a lot more 4hv.org members in the not too distant future.
I think the best thing that comes to mind in recent years was a weekend camping trip to the North Maine Woods. The area was really desolate, and we ended up getting up close and personal with some of the local wildlife -- a big black bear! We were also surprised to discover that wolves are recolonizing the area after being driven out over a century ago.

I've already had mine! I mostly spent it just messing around town, but I finally got round to something I'd wanted to do for years, riding the downhill MTB tracks at Fort William. The World Cup one was pretty brutal.
I also spent some of my leave working on a consulting project, a 50 watt DMX controlled LED driver. Anyway that's it all used until September... :(

This is supposed to be our route:
Have a happy summer all!
So what are you going to do in Amsterdam?... Have fun...
Anyways .. I'm going to stay home and relax.... *cough* *cough*
