I am planning a small drsstc to mess around with, built with mostly stuff i have.

I would like something that could do about 12-16 inch sparks with a voltage doubler for the input. Something like 80a 600v would be nice. I plan to run around 250-300khz with a 2 inch secondary with a topload. I prefer ISOTOP because i have a nice heatsink ready for two of them, and it would greatly simplify the hookup, and i would use copper strapping for connections. But these cost alot, so i will just likely have to use TO-247.

I have about 40 bucks for everything for the drsstc (all i need is the secondary wire which will cost me about $20). I can only pay with cashiers check/money order.

I have spare stuff, I'd even be willing to donate. What exactly do you need? Transistors? Wire? I got a little confused trying to interpret your request....

Sorry. All i need are some IGBTs. I know where i will buy the wire, and i can even get what color i want.

That will cost 20 dollars and maybe 5 dollars for shipping. My mother will give me about 40 dollars, which is why i came to the forum to ask for used or unneeded IGBT's, because they need to be beefy and cannot cost alot.

What kind of IGBTs do you have? Once again, i need around 60-80 amps and 600 volts, because the running frequency will be rather high, but pulse time should be around 100us or less to keep it easy on the IGBTs. Tell me what IGBTs you have, if any, and give me a price :D. Once again, i would like ISOTOP, but those are very expensive so TO-247 will work.

I will also buy 2 or so 74hc109n JK flip flops, 4 220volt TVSs, 2 20 amp ~1kv diodes, and a few good high permeability toroids for GDT's and CT's.

Tell me what you think, we can work something out. I might have stuff to trade, even.
