(sigh) I am trying to get some money together to get my new radio gear setup...
up for grabs are the following:
- a Helium-Neon Laser, working. This unit runs off of 12VDC, batteries are fine, and requires nothing else (PSU included). unit is about 7x2x2 inches... there are two things to note: first is that the HV Out wire has a section where the insulation was removed for about 1/4 inch, and it is currently covered with Electrical Tape which is not rated for that voltage, so it might as well be exposed; second is that the HV Ground connection is exposed along the length of the laser, at the end of which it attaches to a small wire; third is that neither of the mirrors are fully reflective, so lasing light goes out of both ends, but nonetheless they are still laser beams.
photos of this laser are available on my flickr page, which is linked to in my signature
- a 4x20 HD44780 LCD - works, blue background with white text, includes a Backlight. it needs to have the Pin Headers redone, but that should be basic for anyone here
- a 2x16 HD44780 LCD - never used it, but it should work - green background with black text and a backlight
- Parallax Ping Ultrasonic Range Sensor - I picked this up new from a radioshack about a year ago, it works just fine... specs and the like are online
- two Compact Flash to PATA boards - these boards and barely larger than a standard Compact Flash and have a female IDE Connector, they also need a 4 pin mini-molex (is that the name?) power connector
- Parallax RFID Reader, with two tags - the information can be found online - used only a little bit and it works great, and I got it new at a radioshack
- a 0.0005 uF 10kV Pulse Capacitor from a Tesla Coil - tubular body with end studs for connections, I think it may have arced over but I am not sure - it has capacitance but it might short at high voltages... it is free to someone if they pay the shipping, I don't plan to get anything out of it
