This week I've been trying to source the components for a terry filter, The MOV's i have found no problem, and i have enough bleed resistors left over from making my MMC. But i'm not sure about the 3.3nf 1600v capacitors, I've found these on RS and wanted to check to see if they are any good.
Also the 1K 100w resistors are proving a little hard to find, the one i have found looks nothing like the traditional type of wire wound resistor most use in terry filters. i am aware that it needs to be a non inductive type, the inductance of this resistor is 40nH at maximum, would it be suitable?
I'm also a little concerned that it needs to be heatsink mounted, is having a big chunk of metal in amongst all the HV stuff going to be a problem? looking at the terminal to heatsink insulation rating value of 2.5kv rms i guess the heatsink should not be grounded?
Space is quite tight around the base of my tesla coil, I was thinking of making the whole terry filter assembly like another shelf of my MMC, am i likely to encounter any problems with this? i currently have about 6" in height to play with, this has to be enough room for 2 shelfs of capacitors and the Terry filter.

Ryan - I believe the power resistors Terry Fritz used in his original R-C filter design were just conventional wire-wound resistors, not special "non-inductive" parts (not monolithic element or Ayrton-Perry winding).
Although from a purely technical view a non-inductive resistor might be be superior in a circuit seeing broad-spectrum RF noise , simple, low cost wire wound resistors seem to be more than adequate for this application. 1K 100W tubular ceramic-core wire wound resistors show up pretty frequently on eBay, or can be bought new from any of the major electronic component suppliers.
Mount the tubular-core resistors on 1" ceramic standoffs and they will be fine. They tend to run quite hot, so if they end up close to other heat-sensitive components make sure that you provide enough airflow to carry away heat. Because the ceramic cores hold a lot of heat, design your cooling system so that the fan can run for several minutes after everything else has shut off.

My Terry filters were assembled from parts obtained at DigiKey...
My caps were P10501-ND My resistors were L100J1K0E-ND
Thanks for that little tip, i had kinda ruled Digikey out as in the uk i normally can source things cheaper from Radiospares or Farnell, after a lot of seaching i found these exact resistors on the farnell site, but they are us stock, and there is a hefty import charge.
However, on this ocasion Digi key are very competetive. £7.17 each for the resistors and no import costs.
