Thought I would post some pictures of my latest project. I got a nice 2.5W 532nm medical laser system from a friend. It's an Alcon Eyelase system.

Anyways, it's a 1.6mm x 12mm Nd: YAG rod pumped by a 20W 808nm Diode array. The cavity is a sort of a Z-Fold with an extra mirror. The KTP is 2x2x5mm and is situated within a small heater with a 1M thermistor integrated inside. The overall head temperature is controlled by a 60mm TEC with a 100k thermistor integrated into the head.

Basically, I need a 40A diode driver, which I am getting from another member on here. Other then that, I need a single ended temperature controller using a 1M thermistor that can do small currents. I doubt the heater takes more then an amp. I also need a Heat/Cool controller for a 10A TEC using a 100k thermistor.

Does anyone know where to get a controller for these? I would like something small if possible, but I can go larger if needed.

I also attached the image of the projector design I am planning. The blue is a 250mW 473nm unit from Laser-Wave.

That is some incredible work, I remember seeing it on LPF. Post some beamshots when you finish the beast!

Thanks Man!

"..." on this forum has offered to make me a combo TEC/Heater controller for the laser. I am also getting a power supply from another member so I hopefully should have it up and running soon.

That is awesome! Still won't be as cool as the direct injection spectra laser you have, but 2.5w is green is a sight to see! :D

Awsome! :D I wonder if the analog controller of my Compass 315M laser would manage to do the termal controll stuff with this laser.

Hello:

Try Lightwave Electronics, they have what you are looking for. Also I saw some by this manufacturer on ebay a short while ago, and they come up a lot, try there also.

This is an OEM product for a medical laser. They don't even acknowledge that they ever made it...

What's up with that? I ran into the same thing with Coherent, and Inrad. It's like some sort of secret...Shhhh don't tell. I don't know why they even put their name on it.
