Hi, Been away awhile. Do you still have the SCR? I have some money coming in for a couple of network job Aug 1rst.

My problem is if I am running CW with a tube coil, how do I turn offf the SCR once it is triggered so I can use the stacato circuit? This is not an issue in doubler circuit do to off time.

You do not need an SCR this big for staccato. Something rated for about 600 volts and a few amps is fine. Use the staccato circuit, staccato is not an interrupter, it turns the tube off in relation to the mains.

Are you planning on controlling the power into the coil with an SCR?

No not directly. I was under the impression that the SCR is attached to the ground side of the fillaments to to ground (quad 833c) So I need a 5kw capability or more. I still don't get how the stacatto can work properly with out switching off the SCR. Hard to do with FW CW. Ideas?
Jim
Is this doable with the stacatto zero crossing???
