I found a UltraSparc 60 3d workstation in the junk pile at school, the memory and graphics card were gone the case all but destroyed (some kids do anything to get at pieces--mainly the memory), and I took the power supply for use as a laser diode driver (60A adjustable!), but I still have the motherboard and a 450MHz processor out of it. I don't have a good way to test it (no graphics card or memory) but plugging it into the power supply and hitting the on button did turn on the fans so its not completely fried.

If anyone is interested in it, I would be glad to ship it to you, otherwise its probably destined for the dumpster.

I will keep it in my dorm till I move out, which will be the middle of june, so don't ask me about it after then tongue

Can I see a picture of it? If it looks cool you can give it to me and I'll send you a gift and shipping costs :D

Its not the most impressive computer part I have seen, but is certainly looks like it would be able to process faster than a decently powerful cell phone amazed The power supply had a 60a 3.3v bus, 30a 2.6 Vcore bus, and 25a 5v bus just to run all of the silicon on that board, a total of 10x 10awg wires (that plugged into the funky looking connectors on the lower right side of the board) If you want I could include the mating connectors and with a little wire on them to show how the board was powered)

I am not sure how much it will cost to ship, but for parcel post it would probably be in the $10-$20 range

Cheers
