Good question Harry :), all i know is that the device should somehow interfere with eproms, chips etc...( just like a Gsm phone does with a normal computer CTR monitor). If the device lights on a fluorescent lamp it must be quite strong.
I've found the pictures on a chinese site, the device name in chinese is : 上分器 .

So am I to understand that this little device can somehow disrupt the normal operation of an arcade game?

If it has to do with arcade games I would think it was a didgital slug to trick a machine into thinking it has been paid. Every time a coin goes in a signal is sent from the coin collector to the game (or in a swipe card system, a signal is sent from the swipe card unit to the game computer) if the signal is simple enough you could provably trick the game into thinking it was paid. But it is just as likely that you will just make the machine run amok. Neat idea.

"上分器" is a circuit which make the score of the arcade game machines increase.
According to the articles in the company selling "上分器","上分器" must be put beside the coin hole within 30cm.It emits EM wave to crack the machine. These are the videos I found:

ok, so this little device its some kind of EM transmitter. The question is: How can we build one?Any ideas for a diagram? it may be useful to study the effects on the electronic components or even to hack a slot machine lol
