I am planning on making my first tesla coil, and I have a 9kv 30mA NST, is this a good one to start out with? Where can I get the capacitors-- will these work I think I need 3 in series? Also: what else is in a tesla coil?

The NST you have would be good for a medium sized coil. Look on ebay or digikey for the capacitors, a good series is the 942 series made by Cornell Dubilier. The capacitors you posted a link to would most likely not work, they do not seem rated for pulse currents. A tesla coil is a air cored resonant coil, look it up on wikipedia
