Very interesting. I particularly enjoyed how it is estimated that a $1000 computer in the year 2049 will have more computational power than the entire human species. I hope i live to see that.

The only thing that surely be next is change. Too bad that there are way less people and videos that look back, history is important too. Change is only good when you know what brought change

I think it would be rather difficult to place. The brain is massively parallel. Estimates seem to put the human brain around 20 quadrillion flops (20 petaflops). I'm assuming that the computational abilities of humanity would be 20 quadrillion multiplied by the projected population in 2049.
IBM's Roadrunner currently runs at 1.1 petaflops, so it's not outside of the realm of possibility to expect to see a 20 petaflop supercomputer in the near future. As far as seeing a ~20 yottaflop computer for under $1,000 in 2049, that's a bit tougher to call. I can't help but think they'll still take 30-60 seconds to boot up.
