Hi all.
Got slightly annoyed that one of my expensive BLuray LD's got fried due to an "unfortunate event" with the red diode (turns out it cracks the substrate causing Bluray failure within a short time) so decided to take pictures of the slightly fried one.

This was done using an Olympus "tough" 7MP camera with a spare scanner lens (which happened to perfectly fit on the lens protector)

BTW if anyone has any ideas how to swap the SMD drive chip on the mechanism, its going to be a pain as it uses one of those "chip on metal" thin film substrates, PM me.
