I'm en route to western Alabama in order to catch a line of severe storms that have strong tornadic potential. This is the first chase I've done with a live stream onboard. You can watch the live video feed at Link2 if anyone is interested.

I chase on a regular basis in my local area. That particular chase was mostly a bust, as there was a very strong jet streak incursion in north Alabama that just tore the entire storm system apart.

However, a couple days later, (Sunday) I caught baseball size hail and a brief tornado touchdown in Coffee County, GA. It was one of the prettier storms I've seen while chasing in the Southeast. I do have some very brief (poor quality) video that I'm trying to salvage. I got blown sideways by the gust front just as the tornado touched down, which caused me to nearly drop the camera. Within just a few seconds the tornado had been wrapped in rain and vanished.

More storms on tap for tomorrow (Friday the 10th) so you can bet I'll be back out, and the stream will be online.

An addendum to my previously outdated update:

I'll be on the road headed for North Georgia by Noon EDT. Looks like the stage is set for a heck of an outbreak in N GA, N AL, and E Tennessee.

You can keep up with us on the video feed at Link2 and you can chat with us by joining the 4HV chat room and typing /join #stormnet

Video and photos to follow hopefully!
