as i said before, it works with old Steve Ward driver.

 Copy

that was last friday with old driver, 4us mismatch because of igbt lag, and feedback was keep jamming, but my SS gate driver kept igbt alive running single phase at Kormac concert :)

can some one help me out.
Predictor just don't work for me. i can't get even into oscillation, i get just interrupter signal in output ( testing around 100-150V into the bridge)
if i connect generator and disconnect shunt resistors i am getting signal out of my UCC's, and if i connect old driver ( just 74HC14 and 74HC109N) i am getting into resonance with no problem.
I have basically same circuit as Finn , just using 0,7uF MMC and +-12V for AD790 (not +-15v)
Bridge also the same, (full bridge of CM600)
And now even if i use some ultra-fast IGBt and simple LC circuit like Finn did in test, i can't get no oscillation
any idea why it's happening ? ( That would help a lot )

Linus from this quote I asume your CM600 bridge is working with the old driver and you have added Finn's predictor circuit to compinsate for those slooow CM600 but doing so has stopped your feed back from working. would it be pausible to use the old circuit and just make a simple phase leading circuit in front of it and test it at low power. if not inject a square wave into finns circuiut wich will need some tweeking

I had a discussion with Finn about some of the subtleties of the Predictor approach - its far from obvious, but there are some interesting features of it, specifically the input impedances of the active rectifier. I don't believe its a good general purpose solution - even Finn finds it tricky.

Hello, i need some advice.
I get funding for my tesla coil and i need spend money as good as possible.
I was thinking about new mmc for higher DC rating, peak rating, and capacitance ( like 1.5uF 10kv made from 940c)
Also what kind of driver is the best for my bridge maybe some one can tell (with phase compensation)

it seemed that your old MMC worked fine. are you able to get the brick drivers to work. you could ask Steve Ward if you could use his circuit that is moast updated. just send him a PM

Get new MMC for coil
It is 12000V 1uF 3000Apeak 123Arms
( 4000Apeak limited by capacitors, 3000Apeak by Umax at 40KHz )
Now just need to make new driver.
get new parts for predictor, now it work as it work before, added some large 3A diodes to protect CT for going up and down power supply.
problem is the same: can't reduce ringing,
can some one show CM600 under load at 100V ?
