I just cobbled this tube coil together today just to try some things out. Eventually I am going to make this into a decent looking portable unit. The circuit is vary similar to Steve Ward's popular 833 tube coil but the YD1150A tube can handle a lot more power than the 833.
To really make this thing portable I'm going to have to get rid of the vine bottle capacitors and get some good ceramic or mica caps.

Sorry, I screwed up on the tube number. It is a YD1150A. It is made for an industrial oscillator application and the anode output power is 4 KW. Maximum plate voltage is 7.2 KV Max plate current is 1.1 amp.
I'm planning on getting a cooling fan for it.
