Hi! This is my first HV project and I'm needing some directions here.
I'm mounting a plasma speaker, and today I decided it was time for the first tests - the first ones. Without the sound part.
I'm facing two problems: 1- There are corona discharges below my flyback, between the pins. 2- The spark length is below expected.
Do someone knows why (1) is happening? What can I do to avoid that? The flyback is getting ugly... And for (2) what can I do to improve arc length without killing my flyback?

1 - That is because some of the flyback widing is tied together internally, its good to isolate the pins of the near others.
2 - That can be the oscilator frequency, Supply voltage or the mosfet heating. Most probally is the Frequency, try to change it and see if the sparks grown.
Other thing, try to invert the primary leads, as your flyback is DC, it has a diode on the output, and that makes the current flow in one direction.
