One night I was messing around and came up with this. I've never seen a video like this before. I'm certain it's been done before, I've just never seen it. It sure is neat to see something different once in a while. I've even tried this with my baby coil using 1.5" x 6" toroids. It's easy to reproduce. The coil is tuned to accomodate the added capacitance. Of the few videos I've posted, for some reason, this one is the most popular...

I didn't analize this much. I'm not sure what it specifically did do to the overall capacitance. I don't think it's Toroid1+Toroid2. It behaves more like a few % from Toroid2... The distance between them makes a difference. Since I'm tapped out on the final primary turn, I jumpered out a few capacitors in my MMC to accomodate and it improved slightly. Maybe for fun over a weekend, I'll try with different size toroids instead of a matched pair. One thing I'm almost certain of, that power arc between them wastes a lot of power. I'm losing arc length. This isn't something I'm working on, I was just playing and thought I'de throw it out here...
