I am looking for a Vttc staccato controller, i already have the SCRs. I also have 555's and a power transformer. I do not have the misc transistors, probably dont have all of the capacitors, dont have the resistors or LED's, and i would rather buy a premade board, as my board making skills are not good.

How much would something like this cost? Would anyone be willing to trade? If you have one that you would like to trade, send me a PM.

Thanks.

I tried a dozen different kind of scrs because I had them on hand. I could never get them to work. They would just turn on and stay on. You should probably go with a triac.

Why not organize a group buy and design a board with expresspcb. If you get 20 people on board, you will get the cost of a mini board down to $10.58 each. All you need to do is download their software and play around with designs. It will give you something to do, as well as produce a proffesional board.

Didn't Dan make a Staccato Board and then make the Express PCB files public?

I say get enough people on board for a bulk buy and order em up.
If you do the miniboard option from ExpressPCB, 3 boards cost $51.00.

Add in shipping, and poof, you each get a board for $20.00 a piece.
Or better yet, ask Dan if he has one lying around for less.

You might be able to get a single board from batchpcb cheaply. $10 processing plus shipping and $2.50 per square inch for a 2 layer board.

I have one of Dan's staccato PCB's really nice- too nice to part with:-) He has a parts call out there too. The artwork may be there too.
