The minibrute kit and schematic have 4 caps for the primary mmc, but in the minibrute reference guide it shows one shorted leaving only 3. why is this.

Also does anyone know a good place to get 1" square acrylic rods?

I googled "John Freau" and found some good info, but no place to actually purchase a toroid. how do i go about getting one of his toroids?

Probally its to increase the capacitance (if the caps was in series), tunning things.

you should use three caps only, as described in the book.

thank you. i will use only three, but i still wish to understand why. will the extra cap increase output and simultaneously decrease reliability?

where can i find john's email address? Can someone PM it to me.

Rather than start yet another Minibrute thread, try looking at this one, where every question that was asked here is answered.

This will be quite a read, but rest assured, we have already gone over just about every question you could come up with already.

3 caps vs. 4 caps is just what is happened to be tuning wise.

Square Rods? Thats a new one. Can't think of anyone who would have those.
