I'm interested how the person inside the house and outside IN the garage, got hit by lightning (Or leaders). I know the lightning can travel thru the ground for a short distance, and maybe if they were touching something metal, but somehow I don't think any kind of lightning or streamer is gonna come thru your window, strike you, then continure to ground? If they were on the phone, then yeah, sure, but just standing in your house??

I know of a guy who got hit with 680v and his heart stopped. A doctor was on site and revived him. The doctor predicted (correctly) that in less than two days the man would be in excruitiating pain for at least 6months. What caused this?

Perhaps with a capacitor is that your body is acting as a resistance between its two poles, but with lightning... oh wait...you're the resistance between the ground and the lightning.

Without defining what the capacitor is, this question is really meaningless.
