Ive been mucking about with the frequency of my dual ignition coil setup, and it's producing ~9cm sparks!
This is one of the oil filled types with the long neck, but because of the really high voltage, it arcs over that neck quite easily. Anyone know a way to stop it from arcing over, but still have it so I can remove the wires etc?

Open the coil can, remove the guts and dip it completely inside an oil bath. This will solve both - internal and external arcing problems. The internal arcing is usually caused the fact that iggy is never fully filled by the oil.There is always a an air pocket left inside
