Okay, since everyone is going wild for pictures, I decided to make a fun thread where you show off your 'Boat Anchor' or 'Dust Collector' Collection.

My Simpson Genescope is in storage so I grabbed a photo out of the manual. I have more boat anchors too, like a Heathkit scope and an old Pac Bell linseman current tester which is pretty cool. Some of the photos are kinda dark, I'm sorry, but you can use your imagination. Some are Boonton, There is a 50W GR HFVT amp, Q meter, VTVM, just your average fun stuff.

Anyways....send in your stuff! :)

Well no sense that I post my boat anchors as a couple of mine are almost identical to your models! Being an IEEE member in college I got first dibs at all sorts of old donated equipment in our tri-aunual 'junk sale' to raise money for the club.

Here's some more cool stuff for you to look at, and...waste my valuable space.

This is the Power BJT I made for my boss for low voltage high current switching. We do some slow switching and he wants to replace Mercury Relays, so this was the start of it.

Here is a nice variac I plan on using for my 5KW supply. It will be gear motor controlled to maintain regulation under load.

I had to post this one. 30KVDC fully adjustable, regulated, and + or - output! XD !!!!! 1mA
Now I can do materials testing if I desire. There is a small arcover problem with one carbon comp. resistor, but I will fix that with HV putty. Prepare to drool.

There are 4 807's driving the power side of the circuit in here, they are on the bottom left corner.

Someone did such a beautiful job designing this supply. Just look at the love that was put into the inductors. If you look carefully, there is an inductor at the base of the rectifiers and a corona ring around that.
