Anyone ever come across this?

It seems fairly interesting; thought I'd throw it here.

I've come across this in several places. At first glance it was something I'de consider building. Then I saw they drove it around 70kw. That's out of my league for now... I'de like to see a good video of this.

Actually they say the peak power is 70kW, average is ~3.2kW.

Usually "ball lightning" is associated with pseudoscience, but this page seems well researched, feasible, makes no outstanding claims, and encourages others to reproduce it.

It doesn't seem too difficult to attempt. I wouldn't mind seeing a working version myself.

that has been floating around for ages, but i've never heard of anyone else ever trying to reproduce it. Also i've often wondered is that the whole article? Every time i've seen it , its always that version which says 'extract from...' and it seems a bit incomplete.

Cheers,
Jesse

It does indeed look credible, although the rest of the site doesn't. Can anyone with two SGTCs try this?

Well from the crappy photo they have on the page it doesn't even seem worth the effort.
