First of all excuse my english, but i promise doing my best.
I am really interested in tesla coils and it's resonant "mecanism", and so i would like to build one.
But i don't want 10 feets lightnings, just want to see it working like making 2 or 3 inch arcs, and lighting up bulbs if possible (i seen it can apparently do that like radio emitters). I don't remember where but a guy made one like this battery powered and was saying that it was quite harmless(which would also be greatx-().
Is the tension related to the size of the coil?
i hope my question wasn't too stupid, i seen there's a software to do the maths about volts and all that but i can't use it for the moment and so i don't know if it talk about the size of the coil and of it's effects.

No, the voltage its not related direct with the secondary size, its related with the input power. The secondary size changes the ressoant frequency, that can change the output voltage, because much factors, but its not direct related.
