Could i use an ethernet cable cat6 to connect the adv modulator or xenosonic to the minibrute instead of a BNC cable. the book says you can use any type you want as long as its shielded. As far as i know cat6 is shielded very well. If i were to use an ethernet cable could i power the advanced modulator or xenosonic from the minibrute itself. either 5 or 15 v. Does the adv modulator need exactly 9v to function? if not what is acceptable voltage range and what effects would this have on operation?

You have:
TP: Twisted Pair
STP: Shielded Twisted Pair
FTP: Foiled Twisted Pair

So if you have a category 6 cable that is STP I am pretty sure you can use it.

About voltages, I don't know.

Normal cat6 isn't shielded. The only difference between cat5 and cat6 is cate 6 is a little thicker and has a divider between pairs.

an old piece of coax wire will work too.
even just plain old shielded audio wire.

If I powered the modulator from the 5v or 15v supply what effect would that have on it's output waveform? Only Vpk or frequency too? If only vpk would that make a difference as far as controlling the minibrute?

The modulator should be run on its own 9V power source.

I don't doubt you, but could i ask why? if I put either a 9v regulator in the minibrute and feed 9v to the modulator. or feed 15v to the modulator and put the 9v regulator there. what effects would this have on operation?
