Ok last night I made a schematic on this program i never used before so it took some time and yea.. I and asking if u can see any errors in the scheamatic or if I should put some thing else in before i made my board.

Its the schematic of the sstc5 from steve ward.

1232857629 1658 FT0 Schematic

If u could see if any thing is wrong or it needs some thing reply back and i am putting a fuse on this thing but dont know how many amps. so wat size fuse should I be useing? and does any one have a shematic to audio mod this thing?

some things are not labeled

Hmm, I see not much point in having two schmitts in series - you could just use one or even feed the antenna straight into the UCC input. Also, there seems to be needed a resistor between the diode clamp and the IC input as the external diode forward voltage is a bit higher then the logic's internal one's.

soo? The schmitts (if thats what there called) are not really needed? and would it be better to take one away or both or to just leave them, and where is this resistor between the diode clamp needed. whats/where the diode clamp anyway?? This is a copy of a schematic I found on the INTERNET and teslacommander on YOUTUBE

used but i didnt understand the audio mod side of the schematic so I put the ne555 back in.. I will later make it so i can audio mod it latter after i find a nice easy to undersatnd schematic

Sorry if i am a pain but i am totaly new to this and trying to learn fast..
thanks for any reply

The input hc14 array is definitely pointless - one HC14 is enough for perfect tracking already, why use two then? ;) Also the CT is not loaded here, thus it will make a needless phase-shift. The diode clamp is a pair of those on the input buffer, and it's slear that some diodes ahave a higher forward voltage so a resistor between them and the buffer itself would ensure there's no excessive currents fed through the buffer's internal diodes.
